Tool Crib Attendent - Night Shift

Job Summary
Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to employees while tracking usage via inventory management software or manual logs. Maintain accurate inventory records through routine cycle counts, inspect returned tools for damage, and perform minor repairs or calibration. Order replacement tools and consumables to ensure adequate stock levels, then label, barcode, and organize incoming shipments. Monitor tool accountability, investigate missing items, and assist with annual physical audits. Keep the tool crib clean, safe, and efficient, supporting preventive maintenance by ensuring technicians have required gear available. Generate reports on inventory levels and purchasing needs while following all safety policies and OSHA requirements. Work the night shift in a manufacturing environment, lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders as needed
- Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures
- Inventory control and cycle counting
- Tool identification and maintenance
- Purchasing and vendor coordination
- Organization and 5S implementation
- Recordkeeping and documentation
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Team collaboration
- Safety awareness
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, maintenance, or tool crib experience
- Basic knowledge of industrial hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment
- Experience using inventory management or CMMS software
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles
- Familiarity with calibration programs and tool maintenance
