Job Summary

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool crib by issuing, tracking, and receiving maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables. Monitor stock levels, communicate shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor, and stage materials for preventative maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and identification of all tools while supporting inventory audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking materials, and communicate part availability with maintenance and production teams. Follow all safety procedures when handling tools, materials, and chemicals, and perform general housekeeping within storage areas. Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Saturday availability as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in maintenance, inventory, or tool crib operations
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems, or ERP systems)
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to identify common parts (bearings, belts, motors, hardware, fittings, etc.)
  • Strong inventory tracking and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs
  • Problem-solving skills related to parts availability and sourcing
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (more with assistance)
  • Push/pull carts and move inventory throughout the facility
  • Repetitive handling of small and large parts
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Follow all PPE requirements (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, etc.)
  • Maintain awareness of hazards related to tools, machinery, and chemicals
  • Comply with OSHA and company safety policies

Desired Qualifications
