Job Summary
Tool Crib Attendant on first shift in East Syracuse, NY. Responsible for organizing and maintaining the machine shop tool crib, including tool setups (presetting), issuing fixtures and gauges, and managing the perishable tool supply. Sets tooling for CNC machine tools prior to setup; assembles fixtures and gauges for issue with setup package; develops and maintains a tool bill of materials database; coordinates with outside services to manage tool inventory; loads programs into and out of shop machine tools; maintains organization of program directories and revision control; manages storage/databases for tools, fixtures, component parts, and assembly hardware; tears down inventories after job completion; completes required reports; adheres to safety policies and ISO quality processes; requires on-time attendance and willingness to comply with company policies. Physical capability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds. Education and skills emphasize mechanical aptitude, math, and proficiency with MS Excel/Word; equal opportunity employer statements included.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent with good math skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience using close tolerance measuring devices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with MS Excel and Word or equivalent
