Job Summary
Repair and return Company hand tools such as grinders, drills, chipping guns, and needle guns. Maintain records of withdrawals, returns, breakage, reconditioning, and logs. Check tools for breakage and perform repairs or reconditioning as necessary. Trace misplaced or misdirected tools. Keep an inventory of parts on hand and other parts as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Work in an environment with exposure to fumes, extreme heat, electrical shock, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, stooping, and crawling.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and /or 12 months of training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, such as reports and repair orders
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

- Ability to adjust focus
- Close mental and visual application required to interpret drawings, layout, plan work, and weld
- Good judgment in determining best method and procedure to be followed

- Must occasionally push and/or pull a maximum force of 200 ft-lb
