Job Summary
Tool & Die Maker Apprentice capable of learning to build, maintain, and repair tooling used in manufacturing. Works with experienced toolmakers through a structured 4-year apprenticeship, attends Daytona State courses after work, analyzes and interprets drawings, sets up and operates machine tools, uses precision measuring tools, may perform heat treating, ensures safety and quality, and participates in team-based problem solving and process improvement. Strong emphasis on reading blueprints, following instructions, and communicating effectively with production personnel and leadership; demonstrates initiative and organizational skills to meet deadlines within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Complete Apprenticeship Program
- 600 hours of formal classroom instruction
- 8000 hours of on-the-job training
- High School Diploma or equivalent
