Job Summary
Plan machining and bench procedures, then perform precision operations using CNC and manual equipment to construct, alter, and repair tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges. Execute assembly tasks to fit, align, and finish work while reading process sheets, routings, and part drawings. Establish inspection methods and standard work processes to ensure conformance, utilizing precision measuring instruments for dimensional accuracy. Handle materials for loading and unloading jobs, and perform mathematical calculations involving decimals and fractions. Maintain high skill levels in tooling practices and applications to support workflow organization and daily priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Previous tool & die experience
- Demonstrated experience making visual, dimensional, electrical, or mechanical tests of materials, processes, assemblies, or sub-assemblies
- Demonstrated experience using a variety of precision measuring instruments and test equipment
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of tool manufacturing processes, tool setting processes and ability to use and a variety of technical instruments and devices
- Ability to read drawings and prints

- Consistently demonstrate a high degree of skill and extensive knowledge of tooling practices and applications
- Ability to perform difficult/technical calculations with decimals and fractions
- Ability to use and interpret a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and exacting measurements
- Ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications
- Strong inter-personal skills needed to effectively support others in performing their duties and responsibilities
- Ability to organize workflow and set priorities in accordance with established procedures and daily instructions
