Job Summary
Tool and Die Machinist & Manufacturing Support Technician to maintain, repair, fabricate, and improve tooling, dies, molds, fixtures, and machined components. Supports multiple operations including Injection Molding, Sheet Metal Stamping, Product Assembly, and New Product Development. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing tooling, performing preventive maintenance, fabricating production fixtures, supporting prototype development, and producing precision-machined components to engineering specifications. Operates a variety of manual and CNC machines, develops fixtures and gauges, reads engineering drawings, uses precision measuring instruments, inspects components for dimensional and quality compliance, and collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to meet productivity and quality goals. Emphasizes safety and continuous improvement, with basic soldering and silver brazing as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent technical training in Tool & Die, Machining Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in tool and die repair, mold maintenance, machining, or a related manufacturing environment
- Experience with progressive stamping dies and plastic injection molds strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Experience operating manual machining equipment and working knowledge of CNC machining processes
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement conversions
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment
