Job Summary
The Kensington School seeks enthusiastic Toddler Teachers and Assistant Teachers for both full-time and part-time roles, tasked with creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children while preparing developmentally appropriate activities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to relate positively with young children
- Prepare and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom
- Light lesson planning with support and supervision from the Director
- Provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 6 months-5 years
- Must meet basic requirements of child care regulatory agency
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a public or private school system, a quality preschool, child care center or church nursery is preferred
- Knowledge about the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children
