Job Summary
Assist the teacher in developing and utilizing creative curriculum plans for toddlers 2.5-3 years, promote development across social, emotional, physical and cognitive domains, and help establish weekly lesson plans. Support classroom activities, group experiences, and transitions; observe and relay child progress; maintain safety and cleanliness; assist with parent involvement, conferences, and home visits; contribute to data recording and documentation (e.g., assessments, IFSPs); collaborate with staff to ensure Head Start program standards are met; participate in professional development and maintain confidentiality. Maintain a constructive, respectful learning environment and support families through open communication and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Achievement of education requirements from an institute of higher learning or previous experience that would qualify candidate as a Step 6 or higher on the Oregon Registry Online.
Additional Requirements
- Employment is conditional pending immediate and continued enrollment in Child Care Licensing Division – Central Background Registry.
- Employment is conditional pending current physical examination and TB screening documentation upon hire.
