Job Summary
Provide coverage in toddler classrooms as needed, assisting lead and assistant teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Maintain active supervision of children at all times while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being by responding to needs and emergencies, and prepare classroom materials and learning centers for play-based experiences. Observe and communicate children's progress to teachers, and work collaboratively with staff and families to promote a positive school culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- CPR and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in multiple infant classrooms and adapt to changing needs
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
