Job Summary
Provide coverage in toddler classrooms as needed, assisting lead and assistant teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Maintain active supervision of children at all times while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being by responding to needs and emergencies, and assist with meals, snacks, diapering, and toileting routines. Prepare classroom materials and learning centers, then observe and communicate children's progress to teachers. Work collaboratively with staff and families to promote a positive school culture and participate in professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- CPR and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in multiple infant classrooms and adapt to changing needs
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
