Job Summary
Assist designated teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate activities for Head Start toddlers aged 1.5–2.5 years; support classroom setup and material preparation, follow a consistent schedule with group experiences, supervise and document child progress, and promote parent involvement and family engagement. Maintain safety and cleanliness, support daily routines including meals and hygiene, assist with documentation for assessments and IFSPs, and participate in staff meetings and professional development. Required HS education or equivalent, mandatory background check, TB screening, CPR/First Aid within 30 days, and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Employment is conditional pending immediate and continued enrollment in Child Care Licensing Division–Central Background Registry
- Employment is conditional pending current physical examination and TB screening documentation upon hire
- Within 30 days of employment Pediatric CPR & First Aid must be certified and have a current Food Handler's Card
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Head Start and/or Early Head Start experience
- Bilingual English and knowledge of Spanish
