Toddler Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
Support daily activities promoting physical, mental, and social development through games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips. Build respectful relationships with children while maintaining classroom safety, order, and routine. Facilitate balanced instructional experiences encouraging learning through observation, questioning, play, and discovery. Adapt strategies to meet individual needs and greet children warmly during transitions. Provide age-appropriate care including feeding, dressing, and diapering as needed. Promote proper hygiene and healthy eating habits through modeling. Work full-time Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet HHS minimum education and experience requirements
- Meet minimum age, education, background check and medical qualifications for caregivers established by DFPS Licensing
- Complete annual training required by DFPS Licensing
- Maintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
- Class C driver license with clear Department of Public Safety record and two hours of transportation training annually
