Toddler and Infant Teacher Lead-Senior Staff

Job Summary

Provide constant supervision of infants and toddlers by staying within sight and sound, adhering to licensing regulations, and attending to basic needs such as feeding, dressing, and diaper changes. Plan and facilitate programming to advance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development while conducting developmental screenings and assessments. Manage and mentor aides by demonstrating expected behaviors and disseminating required knowledge. Maintain a safe environment by inspecting facilities daily and reporting child incidents, suspected abuse, or behavioral concerns to the Center Director. Work Monday through Friday in the Port Tobacco Early Learning Center, with shifts available from 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 hour Basic Health and Safety Training
  • 3 hour Aide Orientation (college coursework may count)
  • 9 hour Communications Course (college communications course may count)
  • 3 hour ADA Compliance Training
  • 2 hour Supporting Breastfeeding Practices Course
  • 45 hours Growth and Development of children from birth to 12 years
  • 45 hours Infant/Toddler Curriculum
  • 45 hours Preschool Curriculum
  • 1 year of experience working with infants/toddlers
  • 1 year of experience working with preschool children
  • Toddler certified 90 hour lead teacher
  • 90 hour certified lead teacher for Infants
  • Monday through Friday 7am-4pm/9am-6pm
