Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Education Director, the Elementary Counselor/Family Outreach position involves providing individual and group counseling services to students while collaborating with parents, teachers, and community members. The role requires developing cultural and educational interventions, conducting home visits, and participating in school-wide programs to support student academic success. Candidates must possess knowledge of Anishinaabek culture, counseling techniques, and be skilled in customer service and confidentiality. Responsibilities include data collection for assessments, leading professional development, and adhering to mandated reporting laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program
- One year experience in mental health services working with children and families of children with severe emotional disturbances
- Must be able to pass background check

- Three years working in a culturally diverse community
- Experience working in an educational setting
