Job Summary
Provide direct patient care, including bathing, feeding, and grooming, while assisting with medical procedures and monitoring vital signs. Manage patient care plans, ensure confidentiality, and conduct routine assessments to report changes to the healthcare team. Maintain a clean environment and practice infection prevention protocols. Work under the direction of a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse, utilizing Point-click care software for documentation. This geriatric CNA role involves immediate 4-week assignments in a nursing home setting with flexible 5-on-2-off schedules and unlimited overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Aide
- one year of geriatric experience
- Previous experience working with individuals in the nursing home setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Must be willing to work short staff
- Must understand that care is first
- Must be available for 48 hours week or 52 hours weekly
- Must be available to start every Monday 12pm - 4pm
- Must be available for 7am - 3pm 5 on 2 off
- Must be available for 3pm - 11pm 5 on 2 off
- Must be available for 11pm - 7am 5 on 2 off
- Must be able to work under the direction of a LPN/RN
