Job Summary
Document and communicate solutions to existing and new Rail clients while elicit requirements for feedback to R&D and propose novel integrations. Capture stakeholder business processes, transform them into technical requirements, and understand different levels of integration to maintain a consistent global state. Identify integration patterns and avoid pitfalls when integrating legacy systems within complex, software-intensive railway signalling environments. This role supports the greater development team in Brisbane, Australia, focusing on operational systems and train control technologies like ETCS and CBTC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in railway signalling systems, particularly Operational systems
- Experience with ETCS, CBTC, or similar train control systems
- Experience in system integration, testing, and commissioning
- Experience with complex systems and especially software intensive complex systems
- Strong understanding of signalling principles and train control systems
- Knowledge of railway safety standards and lifecycle processes
- Experience with system integration activities (lab integration set to work, V&V)
- Experience with software development and design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced project environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required
