Job Summary
Manage boat, motor, trailer, and ATV parts inventory while assisting customers with purchases and inquiries. Receive retail part requests via phone or counter, research items using manufacturer contacts or reference materials, and process sales transactions. Safeguard funds by performing daily till reconciliation, create purchase orders for stock needs, and verify shipping documents against received merchandise. Enter data into the IDS inventory tracking system, place items in designated locations, and issue parts to technicians per work orders. Handle refunds for returned parts, coordinate warranty returns to vendors, and conduct scheduled physical inventories to report and reconcile variances. Maintain a clean work area and perform all other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts or percentages and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Good phone etiquette
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computer and perform data entry functions
- Marine knowledge helpful
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for extended periods
