Job Summary
Senior Team Lead for ESL resources in English for grades 6–8, combining high-quality instruction with leadership to develop a team of teachers. Responsibilities include delivering effective instruction in one classroom while coaching peers, observing and evaluating teachers using the LEAP growth and performance framework, facilitating collaborative team time, leading professional development, aligning curriculum and assessment practices, and supporting the school’s instructional priorities through the Instructional Leadership Team. The role emphasizes building instructional capacity, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and promoting equitable outcomes for students. Requires Spanish–English bilingual capability, Colorado teaching licensure, and a minimum of two years of demonstrated teaching effectiveness; a Master’s degree is required only for Concurrent Enrollment roles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
- valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license
- ELA-S (English Language Acquisition - Spanish) bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Demonstrated teacher effectiveness or equivalent end-of-year ratings for at least 2 years or more
- Master’s degree required for Concurrent Enrollment positions (when applicable)
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us
- Knowledge of LEAP growth and performance system or comparable evaluation framework
- Commitment to equitable, inclusive, and high-quality education
- Two years of demonstrated teacher effectiveness (or equivalent) through LEAP or similar system
- Experience coaching, observation, feedback, and professional learning
- Ability to lead for racial and educational excellence and dismantle inequities
