Job Summary
Develop and control detailed project schedules by creating master work scopes, walking out shutdown jobs, and developing job packages with manpower, materials, and equipment needs. Read P&ID's and loop drawings to build shutdown books and bid packages, while assisting schedulers with job timing and sequence. Prepare status reports, identify long lead items, and create logistic plans for shutdown areas. Manage a high-volume workload and provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel. This part-time role involves Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend work. 90% travel is required depending on assignment location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' related job experience in petrochemical/ refinery industry
- Experienced in the use of PC software (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision unless a complex planning and scheduling task is involved
- Must be able to lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to operate in a petrochemical/ refinery environment
- Must be able to wear protecting hearing equipment
- Must be able to use a respirator
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test (PFT)
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug/alcohol testing
- Must be able to pass background checks
- Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work
- Must be available for 90% travel depending on location of assignment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Equivalent business experience
- Practical knowledge of subcontracting activities typical to the engineering and construction industry
- SAP experience
- Maximo experience
