Job Summary
TK Teacher responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction to preschool-kindergarten students (TK) with a focus on college readiness and equitable learning opportunities. Responsibilities include creating a safe, engaging classroom culture, developing and implementing standards-aligned lesson plans, collaborating with Special Education and other teams, maintaining formative assessments and portfolios, conducting parent conferences, and adapting instruction for English Learners and students with 504 plans. Candidates should have strong instructional and classroom management skills, excellent communication, and a passion for serving underserved communities. Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree in education or related field and a California teaching credential with Subject Matter Authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree in the subject matter field or Education strongly preferred
- Current California teaching credential with proper Subject Matter Authorization or enrollment in credentialing/internship program
- Solid knowledge of California Common Core Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
