Job Summary
Review deed chains and mortgage documents to verify legal description accuracy and ensure no breaks in the chain of title. Combing through Charles Jones/upper courts searches for judgments and liens, while also reviewing probate documents including death certificates and Wills. Review mortgages and assignments to follow chain of assignments, then order, obtain, and bill for Certificates of regularities. Contact the Assessor's office to obtain information regarding plats or lots as needed. Familiarity with Title Express, Excel, and Outlook is required. This role is based in the Cherry Hill area office of a well-known title insurance agent and settlement services provider.
Required Qualifications
- familiar with Title Express
- experienced in reviewing deed chains and mortgage documents to ensure that there are no breaks in the chain of title and verify legal description accuracy
- responsible for combing through Charles Jones/upper courts searches for judgments and liens
- review probate documents including death certificates and Wills
- reviewing mortgages and assignments
- knowledge to follow chain of assignments
- order, obtain and bill for Certificate of regularities
- contact the Assessor's office to obtain information with regard to a plat or lot of the property
Desired Qualifications
