Job Summary
TITLE I Tutor to provide supplemental reading and/or math instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-8. Prepare lessons and activities in collaboration with the classroom teacher to reinforce reading and/or math skills. Adhere to federal guidelines regarding non-instructional assignments/duties. Attend Title I staff meetings and professional development. Located in Landis, North Carolina. Use instructional strategies to support students, including those with special needs, and participate in ongoing collaboration with teachers to align with classroom instruction.
Required Qualifications
- 48 semester hours including core courses with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher from an accredited institution
- OR Associate Degree or higher with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher from an accredited institution
- WorkKeys testing in Math (min score 4); Reading (min score 4); and Writing (min score 3)
- Some college training preferable
