Job Summary
Conduct additional instruction and provide academic support to students both inside and outside the classroom. Maintain strict adherence to approved daily schedules, attend all faculty meetings, and ensure classes remain in session without unauthorized dismissal. Manage school apparatus and property while monitoring student deportment and keeping detailed records of enrolled pupils, grades, and study progress. Participate in professional development plans and in-service educational programs as required by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license (4-9 ELA, 7-12 Integrated Language Arts, or K-8)
- BCI/FBI Background Checks
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to see for purposes of reading printed matter and observing students
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversations
- Ability to bend and twist, stoop, kneel, run and crawl
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to carry 25 pounds
- Ability to operate office/computer equipment
- Ability to reach in all directions
