Job Summary
Title I Teaching Assistant in an elementary setting providing support to the instructional program within the assigned classroom, with responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students and providing clerical support to teachers and staff. Essential duties include adapting activities and materials under supervision, administering assignments and tests, assisting students with lesson tasks, communicating with teachers/parents, implementing instructional programs and lesson plans, maintaining classroom equipment and records, supervising students in various settings (classroom, playground, field trips, lunchroom, bus loading/unloading), reporting observations to staff, supporting curriculum implementation, attending meetings and in-service trainings, and performing additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- age 16+
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or 60 quarter/48 semester hours or have passed the para pro praxis test
