Job Summary
Title I Reading/English Language Arts Tutors at Bellingham Memorial School for the 2026-2027 school year. Up to 19.5 hours/week, one-year position funded through the Title I Grant. Provide small group, in-class and out-of-class instruction in Reading/ELA. Duties include: assess, document, and instruct students according to diagnosed needs in English Language Arts and Reading; instruct students in ELA/Reading content, strategies and skills; document progress toward improving MCAS performance; administer Reading assessments; attend Title I staff meetings and Title I parent meetings/workshops as necessary; create progress reports, maintain student data, and assist the Title I Reading/ELA Lead Teacher as needed; evaluate and suggest appropriate materials/programs/apps needed for the Title I school-wide program; incorporate technology (such as Ipads) in tutoring sessions and ensure upkeep and safety of that technology. Salary: $30 per hour up to 19.5 hours per week, subject to grant funding (weeks/months TBD).
