Job Summary
Provide small group, in-class and out-of-class instruction in Mathematics to students at Bellingham Memorial School. The role is an anticipated one-year, grant-funded position for the 2026-2027 school year, up to 19.5 hours/week. Responsibilities include assessing and instructing students in Mathematics, documenting progress toward MCAS performance, administering Mathematics assessments, attending Title I staff and parent meetings, creating progress reports and maintaining student data, assisting the Title I Lead Teacher, evaluating and selecting materials/programs/apps, and incorporating technology into tutoring sessions while ensuring technology upkeep and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching Mathematics at K-6 level in accordance with the MA Curriculum Frameworks preferred
- Understanding of or experience using rubrics and standards-based units of instruction preferred
- Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education, obtained at least an associate degree or meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and ability in instruction in Math or Math readiness
