Job Summary
The role supports teachers/administrators in preparing and delivering activities to assist academically struggling students. Requires ability to work well with children and effective communication. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED with 48 college hours or an Associates Degree, or pass the PAC exam; must obtain the Texas Education Aide Certificate through Alvin ISD after hire. Position is 184 days with starting salary of $19,320. Prior experience with children is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 48 college hours (2 years of higher education) or Associates Degree
- Passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies (PAC) exam to be administered by Alvin ISD
- Current application online for PAC exam
- Texas Education Aide Certificate (valid) obtainable through Alvin ISD after hire
