Job Summary
Provide instructional support to Title I students in reading and math in small-group or one-on-one settings, collaborating with teachers and a reading specialist to monitor student progress. Duties include assisting with environments conducive to learning, developing materials per the reading specialist's directions, maintaining Title I materials and records (including duplication), supporting individual drill and practice as needed, helping maintain a positive classroom climate, identifying potential problem areas and communicating with the teacher, and performing special projects as assigned by the building principal.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One of: an associate's degree, two years of post-secondary education, or satisfactory CAPE Test
- Must demonstrate organized and good communication skills
- Must have (or willing to obtain) current PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks
