Job Summary
Head of Product Design based in Oslo leads a 45-person cross-functional team to define and implement a cohesive UX vision for a Nordic-first marketplace. You will partner with Product Management and Engineering to create experiences that balance inspiration, commerce, and trust across buyer and seller journeys; bring user insights into strategic decisions; establish scalable design approaches and systems; mentor and develop designers; support growth through hiring and adopting new tools (including AI-enabled practices); and guide localisation strategies to scale across markets while maintaining a consistent user experience.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Product Build, UX Build, or a related field, including experience leading and developing designers
- Experience designing and evolving consumer-facing digital products, ideally within marketplace, e-commerce, or similar environments
- Demonstrated success crafting cohesive user experiences for complex products and raising the quality of work related to product design across teams
- Experience addressing localisation challenges and designing products for multiple markets
- Strong product judgment with the ability to find opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and guide teams toward effective solutions
- Ability to influence product direction and build alignment across partners through collaboration, communication, and expertise
- A structured and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, capable of bringing clarity to complex challenges and delivering meaningful outcomes
