Tire Technician-Night Shift

Job Summary
Maintain fleet vehicle tires in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by inspecting wheels, replacing worn components, and performing roadside replacements. Mount and dismount tires, manage inventory and equipment, and perform housekeeping duties in the shop. Respond to oil, anti-freeze, and miscellaneous spills using pressure washers, vac trucks, and skid steers. Record time, repair orders, and parts usage on computer systems. Assist in other vehicle maintenance shop areas as needed. Shift: 3pm-5am Monday-Friday. Requires valid DOT Medical Card, clean driving record, and ability to lift 100 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain the Tire Industry Association (TIA) Certification if needed
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs
- Must be able to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
Desired Qualifications
- One year of tire service experience, specifically in heavy tandem-axle vehicle wheels and tires, preferred
- General knowledge of components of truck wheels and tires
- Good mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of tire repair and replacement
