Tire Engineering Technician

Job Summary
Maintain inventory and storage of R&D tires and wheels, conduct experimental tire builds, and manage all shipping and receiving activities for the R&D Center. Procure competitor tires for benchmarking, support engineers with tire field testing and proving grounds programs, and perform light engineering duties including measurements, data collection, and reporting. Ensure compliance with operational standards and maintain accurate documentation. This role requires hands-on work with equipment and materials, some travel to track testing sites, and the ability to work in garage, warehouse, and test track environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational school diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Associate degree or technical certification in automotive technology, engineering, or a related field
- Experience with tire service equipment or R&D testing environments
- Knowledge of automotive or tire manufacturing industry practices
- Exposure to CAD software
