Job Summary
Seating customers, taking drink orders, and assisting with food selections to ensure timely, correct delivery to the table. Manage billing, buss tables, and maintain dining room cleanliness while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with BOH line cooks and support kitchen prep, catering events, and community room duties as assigned. Mentoring new employees and prioritizing duties during rushes are part of the daily routine. Flexible scheduling for nights and weekends is required to accommodate staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement 16-18 (unable to serve beer, wine or alcohol); 19 years of age (to serve beer and wine); 21 (to serve alcohol)
- Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
- Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef's knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise
- Must be available to be scheduled 20-30 hours a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs
- Accommodate staffing needs by having a flexible schedule and the ability to work weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Tipped Server experience or familiarity with food service operations but not required
