Job Summary
TIP .NET Custom Developer for Multnomah County IT to support public-safety and human-services software infrastructure. Role involves full life-cycle development across Microsoft.NET architecture, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation to support application systems used by the Department of Human Services, Department of Health, and Homeless Services. Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and senior developers to gather technical requirements, design and code components, implement automated build/deploy processes, and perform various testing levels. Provide system support, monitor environments, and maintain documentation. Embrace Agile methodologies, stay current with enterprise technologies, and participate in technical reviews. Routine telework with a hybrid schedule is available; the position is based in Portland, Oregon and requires residence in Oregon or Washington. This is a Limited Duration Appointment (up to 2 years) and non-exempt. The pay range is $52.25-$64.25 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three (3) years of professional application development experience (or 7–10 years of qualifying training/experience)
- Ability to pass a criminal records check
- Proficiency in SDLC, OO programming, and SQL/DB concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and C#/VB.NET
- Scripting knowledge (VBScript, PowerShell)
- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server; tools: Enterprise Manager, TOAD, Redgate
- Web technologies: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, ASP.NET, JQuery, JSON
- Data transport (XML)
- Azure DevOps and source control tools like Git or Subversion
- Security concepts including HIPAA, CJIS, SSL
