Job Summary
Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter in a hospitality setting responsible for repair, replacement, and maintenance of tile and grout across hotel guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior locations. Responsibilities include removing and replacing damaged tile, grout, and caulking; preparing surfaces; cutting and installing tile with wet saws, grinders, and hand tools; mixing and applying mortar, adhesives, grout, and sealants; restoring surfaces to match existing materials; reading measurements and layouts; ensuring water-resistant finishes and high-quality craftsmanship; working indoors and outdoors; adhering to safety procedures; maintaining tools and work areas; collaborating with Engineering and Facilities teams; and handling additional maintenance tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a tile setter, installer, or maintenance technician
- Strong technical knowledge of tile installation, grout work, and surface repair techniques
- Ability to read measurements, layouts, and basic blueprints or specifications
- Skilled in use of tile-setting tools including wet saws, trowels, grinders, and grout floats
