Job Summary
Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining tile and grout surfaces throughout hotel facilities, ensuring water-resistant finishes and high-quality craftsmanship. Tasks include removing/replacing damaged tile and grout, preparing surfaces, cutting and installing tile with wet saws and hand tools, applying mortar and sealants, and collaborating with Engineering/Facilities. Must be experienced in tile installation, grout work, surface repair, and be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced hospitality setting; physical requirements include lifting up to 75+ lbs and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a tile setter, installer, or maintenance technician
- Strong technical knowledge of tile installation, grout work, and surface repair techniques
- Ability to read measurements, layouts, and basic blueprints or specifications
- Skilled in use of tile-setting tools including wet saws, trowels, grinders, and grout floats
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Physically able to lift, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project needs
