Job Summary
Achieve sales budgets and deliver an exceptional shopping experience by driving customer service, teaching the P's of retail, and strategically merchandising inventory. Engage customers, ensure store presentation standards, and guarantee safety through loss prevention protocols. Conduct weekly competitive shops, analyze business reports including P&L and category performance, and maintain accurate inventory using point-of-sale systems. Supervise store associates by maximizing peak coverage, reviewing performance, and administering disciplinary action for policy violations. Handle store-level human resources and loss prevention issues while opening and closing the store. Manage a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent lifting and standing. Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Proven ability to direct operations
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 20-30 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
