Job Summary
Provide translation services and support non-English speaking patients and their families throughout clinical visits. Work directly with medical staff to ensure accurate communication between patients and staff. Assist patients in completing necessary intake forms, including demographic, medical history, and financial verification. Support social service workers in completing the social service intake process. Fluency in Tigrinya and EMR experience are required. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 2pm. Required Qualifications
- Fluency in verbal, reading and written bilingual communication skills – Tigrinya
- Advanced computer skills
- Knowledge of cultural barriers to medical care and ability to diminish barriers on the patients' and SCHC's behalf
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Background check
- Review of required immunizations
