Job Summary
Weld metal parts together using blueprints, layouts, and sketches provided by the Engineering department. Layout metal, set up, and tack in accordance with welding blueprints before welding. Fit pipe and weld flanges while using fixtures, jigs, clamps, and other positioning devices. Operate various power and hand tools to complete production welding tasks and perform user maintenance on all machines and equipment. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area while checking for compliance with safety rules and reporting any issues to the Team Lead or Operations Manager. This full-time position is part of a growing, collaborative manufacturing team where you will work in a fast-paced environment, potentially work overtime, and undergo a background investigation and drug test prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform Tig welding tasks
- Ability to read blueprints, technical layouts/sketches
- Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
- Knowledge and experience using both manual and power hand tools
- Ability to use manual arc, wire and mig welders
- Familiar with fixtures, jigs, clamps and other positioning devices
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
- Ability to work overtime if required
- Familiar with working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Must be able to comply with federal law requiring you to show proof of your ability to work in the United States on your first day of employment
- Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test
