Job Summary
Fabricate components by TIG welding from blueprints for gas-turbine repair and manufacturing objectives. Analyze work orders, blueprints, and completed assemblies to determine welding requirements and techniques; set up and measure assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy; select welding methods and materials per project; inspect and test welds for quality and conformance; document work performed and maintain production and inspection records. Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures and regulatory requirements; operate and maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot as needed; participate in training to enhance welding proficiency; contribute to overall manufacturing objectives by performing related duties as assigned. Bilingual English/Spanish language capability is supported.
Required Qualifications
- TIG welding experience required
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to lift and move materials in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use welding equipment and perform welding and fabrication tasks
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Dependability and ability to work independently or in a team
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
- Experience with power tools and fabrication equipment
