Job Summary
TIG Welder at MDC Precision — perform precise TIG welding and fabrication of custom chambers/components using customer drawings. Responsibilities include maintaining tight tolerances (+/-.010 and 0.5% angular), port alignment, scribing, cutting, tacking, tuning, and welding; use Argon shielding; weld various materials with proper settings and filler selection; produce vacuum-tight welds in hard-to-reach areas; interpret instructions and coordinate with machinists to meet project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 -years of TIG (GTAW) welding.
- Must have 1 -the year of basic blueprint reading experience.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have experience in Precision TIG welding in a machine setup.
- Must have experience with protractor tools.
