Job Summary
Perform TIG/GTAW welding, primarily fusion TIG welding on stainless steel, including copper-to-stainless-steel transitions. Produce precise, vacuum-tight, and leak-tight welds in tight or hard-to-reach areas by selecting proper settings and filler materials. Read and follow drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions while understanding proper welding sequences and datum points. Collaborate with supervisors and experienced welders to complete projects to specification, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. This specialized manufacturing team in Fremont, CA, offers a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule with overtime available based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of TIG welding experience
- Strong experience welding stainless steel
- Knowledge of metallurgy and proper welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Experience selecting proper weld settings and filler rod materials
- Welding certification, technical training, Associate Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
Desired Qualifications
- Vacuum welding or vacuum system experience
- Experience producing leak-tight or vacuum-tight welds
