Job Summary
Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using measuring instruments. Observe tests on welded surfaces, including hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance checks. Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts while determining required equipment and welding methods. Weld metal using MIG, TIG, hand laser, gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, and plasma arc techniques. Inspect finished products and compare them with samples to verify specifications are met. Read blueprints and perform all necessary measurements to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. Work a weekend shift from 6am to 6:30pm Friday through Sunday with a 4-hour bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld
- Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
- Must be available for weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6am to 6:30pm)
