Job Summary
Tier III Engineer for Fastly's Security Product Support (SPS) focused on deep technical support for Next-Gen WAF, Bot Management, and DDoS Protection. Serve as the escalation point for high-stakes customer security issues, build internal tooling to improve diagnostic efficiency, and translate complex security challenges into actionable insights for Product teams. Responsibilities include deep security product expertise, strategic escalation governance, definitive issue resolution, tooling and automation (Python, Go, Node.js, Rust), and mentorship of Tier 1-2 engineers. Collaboration with Product and Core Engineering to surface bugs, drive product improvements, and maintain high-quality handoffs. Strong emphasis on customer-centric technical leadership, containerization and lab environments, and experience across Linux/Windows, web stacks, and modern observability/monitoring tools.
