Job Summary
Design and test computer networks by drafting change requests, coordinating upgrades, and performing site surveys for LAN/WAN devices. Troubleshoot Layer 1 through Layer 3 incidents, configure switches and routers, and manage asset records using ServiceNow and Visio. Support Tier III engineers with incident management, equipment installation, and network modeling while maintaining compliance with DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 standards. This role requires TS/SCI clearance, a valid driver's license, and 10 years of experience. Available for up to 20% travel and flexible weekend support. Located in El Segundo, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Available to travel up to 20% of the time
- Available to work flexible hours, to include weekend support
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle
- Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
- Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process
- Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP)
- Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs)
- Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN's, Port Security, Thin Configs)
- Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS
- Experience with Visio
- Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence
- May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs
