Job Summary
Monitor enterprise servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and backup environments while responding to infrastructure alerts and troubleshooting production issues. Execute approved operating system and VMware patching during maintenance windows, verify system availability post-maintenance, and investigate backup job failures to perform authorized restores. Monitor Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network infrastructure, escalating critical incidents to engineering teams and vendors per established procedures. Maintain accurate documentation, operational logs, and shift turnover reports in a 24x7 operational environment. Own production incidents from initial alert through resolution to ensure critical business operations remain available.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, related field, equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and managed services
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, VMware, networking, enterprise backup tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, virtualization, storage, networking, infrastructures
- Work independently in a 24x7 operational environment
