Job Summary
Supervise all contract personnel for network facility operations and communications equipment across large-scale, multi-shift environments. Monitor complex technical control hardware and software, interface with technical staff and vendors to resolve outages, and direct compilation of network operation records. Troubleshoot performance issues, analyze traffic, provide capacity planning, and manage LAN/MAN/WAN systems including Wi-Fi and cloud components. Perform system-level configurations for OS, hardware, and security policies while supporting surge requirements for 24/7 coverage during key exercises. Mentor Help Desk Specialists and manage vulnerability identification processes to support network accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- Over 7 years progressive experience supporting information technology support and cybersecurity operations for ITIL®- aligned (or equivalent) service desk operations
- Minimum of 4 years' supervisory experience which includes direct supervision of employees, to include (but not limited to) day to-day task assignment, formal and informal counseling, professional development, annual performance evaluations, and direct control of work hours/paid time off
- At least 3 years experience with VMware Virtualization Technology
- Demonstrated understanding of the configuration, management, and use of security information and event management (SIEM) software (SPLUNK), to include properly reacting to SIEM events
- Demonstrated experience using the latest versions of the following: Microsoft Operating Systems; Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams; .NET; MS SQL Server; VMWARE, VCenter, ESX; MS active Directory Admin; Nutanix; and Cisco products to include but not limited to switches, routers, ASA firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
- Clearance: Active Secret
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Computer Science or IT-related field; Business administration/management; Technology Management
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
