Job Summary
Tier 2 Help Desk Technician at ServIT MSP in Kennesaw, GA. Responsibilities include resolving complex issues escalated from Tier 1, maintaining uptime and integrity of client environments with a focus on Intel virtualization, desktop/server systems, and LAN/WAN appliances; supporting servers, desktops, and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless); documenting solutions and communicating with clients and teams; providing proactive customer service and accountability through issue resolution; and traveling locally to client sites as needed. Requirements include 5+ years IT support with expertise in Windows Server (2008, 2012) including AD, DHCP, DNS, RDP, Windows Desktop OS, patch management, IT security concepts (NTFS/Share permissions), Exchange/Office365, VPN, Cisco/SonicWall/WatchGuard/Meraki, hardware maintenance for major vendors; background checks and local travel; MSP experience is a plus. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years IT support
- Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012) including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, RDP, and related services
- Microsoft Windows Desktop OS (Windows XP-10) and patch management
- IT security concepts, including NTFS permissions and Share permissions
- Microsoft Exchange, Office365, and collaboration tools
- Network management, including VPN protocols, Cisco, SonicWall, WatchGuard, and Meraki
- Hardware maintenance for HP, Dell, IBM, and Lenovo servers and peripherals
- Criminal background check, E-Verify citizenship check, and motor vehicle report
- Local travel to client sites required
- MSP environment experience a plus
