Job Summary
Tier 2 Field Service Engineer – Journeyman responsible for on-site IT support in Louisville, handling desk-side troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; performing device imaging, OS reinstalls, and configuration; providing after-hours support for critical incidents and remote access issues; preparing equipment for deployment, relocation, or disposal; assisting with workstation cabling and installations; validating system performance; supporting network diagnostics under networking teams; maintaining asset inventories and documentation; and collaborating with IT support teams to ensure consistent service delivery. Requires 0–2 years of IT support experience, fundamental Windows knowledge, customer service skills, ability to follow documented procedures, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Preferred certifications include HDI/SDI, CompTIA A+, and ITIL (v3 or v4).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of related IT support experience
- Fundamental IT field support knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Basic understanding of IT operations & maintenance (O&M) processes
- Strong customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow documented procedures and work under supervision
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- HDI or SDI certification
- CompTIA A+
- ITIL v3 Foundation or ITIL v4
