Job Summary
Process ticket and membership transactions for patrons via phone, email, and in person using Tessitura CRM, including selling, exchanging, and donating tickets while managing gift certificates and membership cards. Serve as the primary resource for audience questions regarding virtual content, parking, accessibility, and neighborhood options, directing patrons around campus and assisting with will-call shifts, packaging, and line management. Provide guidance and supervision to colleagues when requested, handling minor technical troubleshooting and data entry projects. Maintain database hygiene and coordinate with house management to resolve conflicts. Work evening and weekend hours in a hybrid role, supporting the nation's premier ensemble theater's mission to create provocative art.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a high-volume customer service setting, preferably in a theater
- Fast, efficient service techniques in peak service times
- A relaxed appearance and tone when interacting with guests and colleagues, which includes maintaining an unhurried pace and level modulation of voice and volume
- Effective, improvisational problem solving in ever-changing situations
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work 15-25 hours a week
- Consistent availability on evenings and weekends, as well as during holiday seasons
- Consistent availability on Monday evenings, weekdays, and weekend mornings for special events and extra programming
- Ability to work hybrid work from home/in-person position
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with matinees on Saturdays, Sundays and select Wednesdays
- Ability to work extra shifts on Monday evenings, weekdays, and weekend mornings
